Platinum takes its normal form as nuggets, scales, or grains and crystals
are very uncommon. Platinum does not tarnish like Silver
when exposed to air. Platinum forms in igneous rocks and has a metallic luster.
It is a highly sought after metal in the jewelry trade for its silvery sheen
and is used in necklaces, rings, and other decorative objects. Platinum can
be slightly magnetic.
